Raid Day Change

Posted by CrowmoorSeptember 7, 2009 at 5:59 am
Since we've been lately experiencing difficulties getting the Tuesday raids up, we're testing how it works if we change the raid day to Monday, starting from next reset.

Rank Renovation

Posted by CrowmoorSeptember 6, 2009 at 5:45 pm
The new rank order will be:

GM
Officer
Raider
Member
Initiate
Casual
Trial
Lead Alt
Alt

---

There are a few things we wish to achieve by this.

1.) A space for the more casual players of the guild to fit in.
2.) Fewer officers so the conversation will move more into the guild/raid chat.
3.) A clearer system for filling the raid spots.

---

A few notes about how this will work in practice:

- We still won't recruit people (not even your friends) straight into the "Casual" rank. The rank is meant for people who have earlier played actively in the guild.
- If a player with Raider rank signs for a raid, they will get a spot. We will not take more people into the rank than can fit in one raid. The rest of the spots will be filled with Members, and f there are still more spots we will use Initiates.
- New people in Trial rank will be fitted into raids where possible so we can see their performance.
- People in Casual rank will only get spots if none of the upper ranks are available.
- In practice, the "fewer officers" -goal will be realised by removing the Class Officer rank. the people with Officer rank will be ones handling dkp or running other guild business.
- Instead of Class Officers we will assign people as "trustees". Their job will be to discuss new applications in their own class (and/or spec) with the officers. We'll publish the list of these folks later when we have made it. 8D
- Not attending the expected 2 raids/week (on average) will get you demoted to Casual rank.

Hammertime!

Posted by CrowmoorAugust 3, 2009 at 5:32 pm
Oh, look! It's the DKP nerf hammer!

Since you industrious little buggers have been so busy gathering DKP, we're gonna have to reset it a bit when next patch comes. We'll perform a 90% reset, so there's still some kind of a dkp order for the first kills after it. In practice, if you have 1000 dkp you'll be left with 100. This will also take away some of the dkp in the pockets of the people who haven't been raiding in a while.

Ciao!

Yogg-Saron has finally fallen in 25-man! Excellent work from our dps, tanks and healers alike. From now on we will be working on the hard modes - time to start checking out the tacs!

Deliverance 1 year 25.6.2009!

Posted by CrowmoorJune 27, 2009 at 6:15 pm

It's been a long road, even though I missed a bit from the start. This pic is from our first Rage Winterchill kill from 24.8.2008, two months after the charter was signed. Didn't really have any other pics with decent killshot behaviour -.-'

For my own part I'd like to say a special thanks to all those that have been the "backbone" of the guild. Possu, Tuschan/Nami, Naq, Luuläjä, Duff/Laalertaja, Honecker, Q, Defiji/Kimuli, Hobson, Embraser, and a number of others, some of whom have joined us a bit later. You keep the guild alive, running and essentially the same as it always was, a common effort by a bunch of people that like to play together. (Now maybe united further than ever before by the consumption of voluminous amounts of beer and harassing neighbours at tuschy's place, and mine?)

I hope to continue playing with you, as well as those that have joined us later, till Icecrown and beyond!

- Crow

---

To celebrate our first anniversary, the officers and Possu have concluded that a couple of little things should be done:

- Free belt buckles and gems from the Guild Bank (for your main's PvE gear, naturally)
- Guild repairs starting from Sunday, continuing till we've managed to spend some of the 50k gold in GB.

Last Tuesday we brought down Thorim and Freya, making our progress in 25 man Ulduar 10/14. Good job!

Important!

Posted by CrowmoorApril 28, 2009 at 7:00 pm
Okay so Naquada promised to be home - there can still be a dkp raid tomorrow if there's enough people.

This mess is due to the fact that it happens to be the eve of May Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_Day), and at least in Finland it means that young people (and older people as well) are extremely busy getting wasted and barbequing stuff even though it's raining and 10 degrees. As practically all the officers mean to be out drinking or doing other silly stuff, there won't be anyone to handle the dkp etc. Thus we first decided to simply cancel the raid, but as Naquada and Kisaa are still willing to be home and raidleading, we decided to give it a chance after all.

The signup will be left in the schedule for those that wish to raid. Please take the chance to form an Ulduar 10 man group or whatever you see fit and improve your gear.

Ulduar 8/14!

4 new bosses down: Ignis, Kologarn, Auriaya and Hodir. Good job, people!

Ulduar 25 man 4/14!

Posted by CrowmoorApril 21, 2009 at 9:46 am
After 2 raids we've brought down Flame Leviathan, Razorscale, XT-002 and the Iron Council. Hopefully we'll add a couple of bosses to the list tonight!

Ulduar!

Posted by CrowmoorApril 14, 2009 at 8:38 am
Ulduar is being released tomorrow, 15.4.!

Thus, a few notes and reminders:

1.) All 25 man raids in the next weeks will primarily be Ulduar. However, because there's still the chance that we won't get a good enough group on some raid day and have to go Naxx/Sarth/Maly instead. For this reason you are expected NOT TO PUG these other instances on your mains before Monday or Tuesday.

2.) Everyone is expected to have potions and flasks/elixirs. We recommend flasks as there will be wiping. The guild will be providing Fish Feasts, so no need to worry about buff food for now.

3.) Everyone is supposed to take a good look at their gear and make sure they have enchants & gems on everything and so on. Preferably not the cheapest possible enchants and gems either.

4.) We hope everyone still remembers that for progress raids the participants are chosen according to their skills and gear. "But I signed first!" will not work here. If you cannot stay till the end of raid, say it beforehand. Otherwise -dkp unless your dog is on fire and grandma's pillaging the town.

5.) You MUST read tacs. Not having read tacs before the raid can lead to -dkp. The links to Wowwiki for each boss can be found in the Raids section of the forums. Don't waste everyone's time by going "Okay so what are tacs?!?!?!?!" before every damn boss. you should at least have a basic idea about the abilities and phases of each boss so we can concentrate on who does what instead of "What does this boss do :OOOO"

6.) Try to minimize your raidtime brb's beforehand. Eat before the raid, take your showers, repair your char's gear, get enough pots and flasks etc.

Please follow these guidelines so we might maximise the amount of active raiding we can do :)

- Nazimoor

This is where you...

Posted by CrowmoorApril 2, 2009 at 5:58 am
...announce your raid breaks, holiday trips, etc. I made the thread because I (and others as well) sometimes miss the "going on holiday" threads and such in the forums cause they're quite randomly placed. And if you only tell one officer that you're going to be gone for a while, it's likely they'll forget to tell the others, and when you get back, BAM you will have been kicked.

So for everyone's convenience, if you're going to be gone for more than a few days, please make use of this thread:

Posted by CrowmoorFebruary 26, 2009 at 5:21 am
So first the important shiet: The first tab in the guild bank now allows everyone with member rank or above to withdraw a few stacks per day. There are some glyphs, scrolls and a bit of leveling materials for the taking. when you deposit stuff in the guild bank, please put them in tab 2 and we'll organise them to the appropriate tab.

Secondly: A total of 5 [Red Proto-Drakes] in the guild now! In case someone didn't know, they're the reward from the achievement Glory of the Hero.

Crowmoor 18.2.
Duffstalker 18.2.
Sanis 21.2.
Kisaa 21.2
Luuläjä 25.2.

A big thank you to all those (especially Tuschan) who have helped us.

DKP

Posted by CrowmoorJanuary 29, 2009 at 8:05 am
There have been some rather extensive problems with the DKP addons and sites. At least I (Crow) now have a working addon. It's been a shitload of work to enter all the DKP's manually and stuff so please don't act childish. We did our best. We are now using the webDKP-addon's own site which has been linked to the Wowstead DKP page.

---

Instructions in case your dkp seems to be something else than it shoud:

1.) If you're missing less than 50 dkp, don't even bother complaining. Sorry. I'm gonna give -20 dkp to you if you come to me with "I'm missing 5 dkp boohoo".

2.) If you're Julla or Shammyq, please contact me. Your DKP is WTFpwned.

3.) If you're missing a remarkable amount of dkp (50>), we can definately discuss it and you can prolly have it returned.

4.) If you bought something in the last Naxxramas or Sarth/Arch that was expensive and you seem to have way more dkp than you should, please be fair and contact me.

5.) The DKP on the DKP page should be up-to-date. I recommend everyoen checks it. DKP issues will not be dealt with in the middle of raiding. this is to avoid further confusion.

Into the Storm

Posted by CrowmoorJanuary 15, 2009 at 5:23 pm
Today was the first time we tried Malygos 25 man. Took a few tries, but was definately worth it when we made it after all. Now all there is to do before Ulduar is released is to practice killing Sartharion with the drakes up, which we haven't been paying any attention to yet. In fact we only first killed Sartharion as a guild today as a warm-up for Malygos - everyone had just been pugging him.

Thanks to all who participated in creating this most epic "killshot"  ever ;o And thanks to all those who read the tacs and watched the vids and made this possible.

Naxxramas 25 man cleared 6.1.

Posted by CrowmoorJanuary 9, 2009 at 9:44 am
As a nice start to the new year, we pwned the rest of the Naxxramas Heroic bosses. Good job everyone! Malygos beware... We're coming for you.

25 man Naxx killshots so far

Guild Roster Clean-up

Posted by CrowmoorDecember 9, 2008 at 8:56 pm
As we have quite a large number of inactive lvl 70 alts in the main guild, I'm going to perform a clean-up of the roster on the 14th of December (this Sunday). We hope you contact Possu, Luuläjä or Crowmoor to have the alts invited to Ctrl Alt Deliverance, so it's easy to contact you for raids etc if you're logged on them instead of your main. All alts, even bank alts and ones you have no intention of leveling are welcome to Ctrl Alt Deliverance.

I will for now only kick out the ones that are still lvl 70 but the 71-73's will soon follow unless you let me know that they are being actively leveled to 80. You may still have a new alt invited to the main guild at 70 if you intend to level it all the way to 80.

The purpose of this clean-up is to make sure that the roster only consists of characters that are at least theoretically usable for heroics and raids, as we are a raiding guild, not a leveling guild.

Ashes to the Stars

Posted by CrowmoorDecember 9, 2008 at 8:07 pm
After our most epic battle so far, we have successfully downed Malygos the Spell-Weaver. We dedicated the whole evening to downing him and worked our way through one phase at a time, wipe after wipe, slow and steady. Finally we got it all right and he fell just as the time ran out and the enrage emote flashed on the screen.

This means we have now cleared all the 10-man content available so far: Naxxramas, Sartharion, Archavon, Malygos. On Thursday we start working on 25-man content. Amazing job everyone, I'm proud of you (and myself :F)

"Killshot" including Laalertaja's IMBA roll. Honecker generously passed the shield to Laalu however, points to him for that. Apologies for the, err, interesting shot. Was too thrilled about the kill and forgot to take a proper one.

Once more, ty-gz-omg-wtf-bbq to everyone <3 I'm sure everyone agrees that if Sapphiron was hard last week, he sure seemed like free epix after Malygos.

Dance with the Devil

Posted by CrowmoorDecember 2, 2008 at 4:30 pm
We have now successfully cleared the 10-man Naxxramas within one reset. Sapphiron put up a real fight, no free epics there. Kel'Thuzad was like a vacation after that.

We've also slain Sartharion and Archavon in 10-man. We hope to be starting in 25 mans as soon as enough peopel in the guild reach level 80.

Here are some of the Naxx kill shots:

Congratulations, Defiji!

Posted by CrowmoorNovember 17, 2008 at 7:40 pm
As you may have noticed, Defiji is the first one to reach level 80 in the guild. I thought it was worth mentioning and wanted to include a /flex shot as well, but he was too lazy to appear. Typical.

Anyways, congrats mon. Stay away from the voodoo!

And those of you who are still around level 70, pick up the pace. Laalu's already creating nazi plans about what happens if people slack too much. ;D

Deliverance presents:

Posted by CrowmoorNovember 16, 2008 at 9:55 pm
Ctrl Alt Deliverance - a place for your <70 alts.

Even if it's a death knight. Even if you think it'll become your main in no time. We are sceptics and won't believe it till you've brought that dk up to level 70. A total of 5 people (yes, I counted) have asked me to invite their under level 70 DK's to Deliverance. The answer is and will be NOES. Instead everyone is welcome to add their alts to our new creation, Ctrl Alt Deliverance - the alt guild. The purpose is to be able to contact people who are leveling their alts if backup is needed for a raid (without me having my friend list full of people's alts :o !!!) and to give everyone some company while leveling.

The peopel with invite rights in the guild atm are Possu, Crowmoor and Luuläjä, so contact one of us if you have alts without a guild. The only requirement for joining is that your main is in Deliverance. ;) So yes, you can even bring your bank chars.

Kthxbye and good night,

Crowmoor

P.S. Old topics have been removed from the Raids section of the forums (minor cleaning been performed elsewhere too) and Naxxramas info will start appearing soon.
