Raid Day ChangePosted by CrowmoorSeptember 7, 2009 at 5:59 am
Since we've been lately experiencing difficulties getting the Tuesday raids up, we're testing how it works if we change the raid day to Monday, starting from next reset.
Rank RenovationPosted by CrowmoorSeptember 6, 2009 at 5:45 pmThe new rank order will be:
GM Officer Raider Member Initiate Casual Trial Lead Alt Alt --- There are a few things we wish to achieve by this. 1.) A space for the more casual players of the guild to fit in. 2.) Fewer officers so the conversation will move more into the guild/raid chat. 3.) A clearer system for filling the raid spots. --- A few notes about how this will work in practice:
- We still won't recruit people (not even your friends) straight into the "Casual" rank. The rank is meant for people who have earlier played actively in the guild. - If a player with Raider rank signs for a raid, they will get a spot. We will not take more people into the rank than can fit in one raid. The rest of the spots will be filled with Members, and f there are still more spots we will use Initiates. - New people in Trial rank will be fitted into raids where possible so we can see their performance. - People in Casual rank will only get spots if none of the upper ranks are available. - In practice, the "fewer officers" -goal will be realised by removing the Class Officer rank. the people with Officer rank will be ones handling dkp or running other guild business. - Instead of Class Officers we will assign people as "trustees". Their job will be to discuss new applications in their own class (and/or spec) with the officers. We'll publish the list of these folks later when we have made it. 8D - Not attending the expected 2 raids/week (on average) will get you demoted to Casual rank. ![]() Since you industrious little buggers have been so busy gathering DKP, we're gonna have to reset it a bit when next patch comes. We'll perform a 90% reset, so there's still some kind of a dkp order for the first kills after it. In practice, if you have 1000 dkp you'll be left with 100. This will also take away some of the dkp in the pockets of the people who haven't been raiding in a while. Ciao! - Crowmoor the Bitch The God of DeathPosted by CrowmoorJuly 9, 2009 at 8:58 am
Yogg-Saron has finally fallen in 25-man! Excellent work from our dps, tanks and healers alike. From now on we will be working on the hard modes - time to start checking out the tacs!

It's been a long road, even though I missed a bit from the start. This pic is from our first Rage Winterchill kill from 24.8.2008, two months after the charter was signed. Didn't really have any other pics with decent killshot behaviour -.-' For my own part I'd like to say a special thanks to all those that have been the "backbone" of the guild. Possu, Tuschan/Nami, Naq, Luuläjä, Duff/Laalertaja, Honecker, Q, Defiji/Kimuli, Hobson, Embraser, and a number of others, some of whom have joined us a bit later. You keep the guild alive, running and essentially the same as it always was, a common effort by a bunch of people that like to play together. (Now maybe united further than ever before by the consumption of voluminous amounts of beer and harassing neighbours at tuschy's place, and mine?) I hope to continue playing with you, as well as those that have joined us later, till Icecrown and beyond! - Crow --- To celebrate our first anniversary, the officers and Possu have concluded that a couple of little things should be done: - Free belt buckles and gems from the Guild Bank (for your main's PvE gear, naturally) Mr. Torture...Posted by CrowmoorMay 28, 2009 at 5:19 pm

Last Tuesday we brought down Thorim and Freya, making our progress in 25 man Ulduar 10/14. Good job!
Important!Posted by CrowmoorApril 28, 2009 at 7:00 pm
Okay so Naquada promised to be home - there can still be a dkp raid tomorrow if there's enough people.
This mess is due to the fact that it happens to be the eve of May Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_Day), and at least in Finland it means that young people (and older people as well) are extremely busy getting wasted and barbequing stuff even though it's raining and 10 degrees. As practically all the officers mean to be out drinking or doing other silly stuff, there won't be anyone to handle the dkp etc. Thus we first decided to simply cancel the raid, but as Naquada and Kisaa are still willing to be home and raidleading, we decided to give it a chance after all. The signup will be left in the schedule for those that wish to raid. Please take the chance to form an Ulduar 10 man group or whatever you see fit and improve your gear. 4 new bosses down: Ignis, Kologarn, Auriaya and Hodir. Good job, people!

After 2 raids we've brought down Flame Leviathan, Razorscale, XT-002 and the Iron Council. Hopefully we'll add a couple of bosses to the list tonight!
Ulduar!Posted by CrowmoorApril 14, 2009 at 8:38 am
Ulduar is being released tomorrow, 15.4.!
Thus, a few notes and reminders: 1.) All 25 man raids in the next weeks will primarily be Ulduar. However, because there's still the chance that we won't get a good enough group on some raid day and have to go Naxx/Sarth/Maly instead. For this reason you are expected NOT TO PUG these other instances on your mains before Monday or Tuesday. 2.) Everyone is expected to have potions and flasks/elixirs. We recommend flasks as there will be wiping. The guild will be providing Fish Feasts, so no need to worry about buff food for now. 3.) Everyone is supposed to take a good look at their gear and make sure they have enchants & gems on everything and so on. Preferably not the cheapest possible enchants and gems either. 4.) We hope everyone still remembers that for progress raids the participants are chosen according to their skills and gear. "But I signed first!" will not work here. If you cannot stay till the end of raid, say it beforehand. Otherwise -dkp unless your dog is on fire and grandma's pillaging the town. 5.) You MUST read tacs. Not having read tacs before the raid can lead to -dkp. The links to Wowwiki for each boss can be found in the Raids section of the forums. Don't waste everyone's time by going "Okay so what are tacs?!?!?!?!" before every damn boss. you should at least have a basic idea about the abilities and phases of each boss so we can concentrate on who does what instead of "What does this boss do :OOOO" 6.) Try to minimize your raidtime brb's beforehand. Eat before the raid, take your showers, repair your char's gear, get enough pots and flasks etc. Please follow these guidelines so we might maximise the amount of active raiding we can do :) - Nazimoor This is where you...Posted by CrowmoorApril 2, 2009 at 5:58 am
...announce your raid breaks, holiday trips, etc. I made the thread because I (and others as well) sometimes miss the "going on holiday" threads and such in the forums cause they're quite randomly placed. And if you only tell one officer that you're going to be gone for a while, it's likely they'll forget to tell the others, and when you get back, BAM you will have been kicked.
So for everyone's convenience, if you're going to be gone for more than a few days, please make use of this thread: http://www.deliverance.wowstead.com/forums/thread/370. Journey to Undying LandsPosted by CrowmoorMarch 22, 2009 at 5:51 pm
